DYONMED Elco Test

The DyonMed Elco test® is an advanced rapid immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Helicobacter pylori in human saliva samples. H. pylori is a very common bacterium found in both the stomach and saliva, and it is a leading cause of dyspeptic and gastrointestinal disturbances, including ulcers and chronic gastritis.

Identifying the presence of this bacterium is the crucial first step to relief. Once detected and treated appropriately with the help of a physician, the associated gastrointestinal symptoms typically subside.

Interpretation of Results (Read at 2 minutes):

• POSITIVE: Two distinct lines appear. One line must be in the Control region (C) and the other in the Test region (T). Note: Even if the Test line (T) is very faint or barely visible, the result should be evaluated as positive.
• NEGATIVE: Only one colored line appears in the Control region (C). No line appears in the Test region (T), indicating the absence of H. pylori.
• INVALID: No lines appear, or only the Test line (T) appears without the Control line (C). This indicates a user error, insufficient sample, or reagent failure. Verify the procedure and repeat with a new test device.
