DYONMED Colon Test

The DyonMed Colon Test® utilizes the advanced FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test) method to immunochemically detect human hemoglobin in stool samples. Finding occult (hidden) blood in the stool is a crucial early indicator of various gastrointestinal issues, including polyps, inflammation, or early-stage colorectal cancer.

Routine screening is vital, especially for asymptomatic adults over the age of 45. Early detection significantly increases the effectiveness of treatments and can prevent polyps from developing into cancer before any visible symptoms appear.

How to Use the DyonMed Colon Test®:

1. Use the provided collection paper or a clean container to catch the stool sample.
2. Hold the collection vial vertically and unscrew the cap, which has a swab attached.
3. Dip the swab into the stool sample in 5 different places to ensure a representative sample.
4. Insert the swab back into the vial and screw the cap on tightly. Shake well to mix the sample with the buffer liquid.
5. Break the tip off the vial cap and squeeze exactly 3 drops of the liquid onto the designated test cassette.
6. Wait for the lines to appear and read the results.

Interpretation of Results:

• POSITIVE: Two distinct lines appear. One in the Control area (C) and one in the Test area (T). Even a faint T line indicates a positive result.
• NEGATIVE: Only one line appears in the Control area (C). No line appears in the Test area (T).
• INVALID: No lines appear, or only the Test line (T) appears without the Control line (C). This indicates a user error or reagent failure; repeat with a new test.

A positive test result indicates the presence of blood in the stool, which can be caused by various conditions such as hemorrhoids, stomach ulcers, polyps, or inflammation—it does not necessarily mean you have cancer.
